So today is my 5 year anniversary since my fiance and I went on our first date :flowerforyou: It is the last time we will really celebrate this as our anniversary because we are getting married later this year... and that date will become our anniversary. I wanted to do something special, a romantic dinner at home, wherein calories don't matter. I'm doing a lush salad and fresh baked garlic bread, followed by tortellini with Rosee sauce. We also have a bottle of homemade strawberry wine from a friend AND chocolate raspberry panna cotta for dessert.
Obviously, this meal alone puts me over my daily calorie allotment :ohwell:
Do you all think it's a big deal to switch to maintenance calories, just for the day? I calculated my day at around 1800-1900 calories, which is about maintenance for me. I don't usually go and do things like this but it's a special day :flowerforyou: It won't make much of a difference if I'm good for the rest of the week right?

Go for it! For a special occasion, it's definitely worth it. Plus, if your staying within maintenance calories, you still won't gain. Even with all that awesome food for supper, you won't be set back, especially if it's only for one day. Congrats on 5 years!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. Enjoy. I think you'll be shocking your system up a bit, giving it a little bit of surprise. So when you kick its butt tomorrow, it won't know what hit it.

Enjoy your dinner and evening. Congrats!

I think that is so sweet:flowerforyou: . I wish my hubby and I had time for that. Today is also the anniversary of the first day my Hubby and i met 3 years ago. I wish you many more years of happiness and love.:heart:
  • You would have to overeat by 3500 calories to gain a pound. Don't worry about the calories, enjoy the food and the special moment. You will never have this day again, enjoy it to the fullest. Life is too short to obsess over the little things. :flowerforyou:
