The single greatest deterrent to working out is lack of sleep for me. On a good day I can get 5 hours at best and that's with waking up at least 6 to 7 times.

Anyone else with similar issues?

Yes. I used to sleep very well but now I work varying shifts, early, swing, overnight and there is no consistency to my schedule. I have a very hard time falling and staying asleep. I don’t drink much caffeine either. If I don’t take medication to help me get a few hours sleep, I will be up for 2 or 3 days straight.

Same. But I normally only sleep 4-5 hours most days. If I sleep more than 8 I feel even worse somehow. There’s some pretty interesting articles on super sleepers. I’ve wondered if I have that trait.

Insomnia is usually a symptom of something else. You’ll never resolve it if you don’t figure that out.
