Fitbit Versa 2

Having a hard time connecting my fitbit versa 2 to myfitnesspal. I followed instructions to connect it but my steps r not showing in myfitnesspal from my versa 2 can anyone help how I can get them connected? I used to have fitbit one and I never could get them linked I figures id try the versa 2 seems same issue. Does in reality any fitbit connect to myfitnesspal at all?

    I had to disconnect mine two times and reconnect. It now is connected.

    I haven't been able to get them to sync for two years.
