Couch to 5k or Run Zombies Run are both popular apps for starting to run.

Both of these are really good, and to combine them, the makers of “Zombies, Run!” have their own free C25k app.

I find Zombies, Run helpful/fun as it has short (90sec or so) audio clips dotted throughout the run which help to break up the run and stop my brain telling me I’m bored / hurting etc. I could probably run without now, but I’m hooked into the story....

I like using runkeeper and strava. I've only just got back to running after two years out so I'm doing couch to 5k again. I'm using an app called "one you" or something like that and it's really good and helps keeps you motivated during the running bits

I've done C25K in the past and loved it.

I used the NHS podcasts instead of an app for couch to 5k. It was great!

That's what I'm using too. Loving it! :)

I’m a huge fan of Run Your First Mike. It took me from no running at all to completing a half marathon in 9 months.
