Hey all, I’m new in here. Week 1 I lost 9 pounds and this week I stayed the same weight. I’m quite disheartened as this week I was more active and ate a lot better. Anyone got any tips? Thanks in advance

Consider my copyrighted and trademarked PP method of weight loss: Practice Patience. Whatever weight you were when you started your journey took quite awhile to gain. Effect weight loss is not something one can accomplish overnight or even in a week.

Nine pound loss in 7 days can be accomplished in several ways, but that much in that time frame is probably one of two things:
    1. starvation diet
    2. mostly 'water weight'

Eat less. Eat better. Move more. And don't let short term goals get in the way of life long health.

I have 10 pounds to go for my next target and I am "budgeting" that is going to take around 6 weeks - so that perhaps is a bit of perspective.

Meanwhile - it is pretty much impossible to have lost 9 pounds of fat in 7 days as that would require around a 4500 calorie deficit each day - so it will most likely have been a combination of fat and water. But that is what happens when you start and things will settle shortly.

Myself, when I started my weight loss, I decided not to weigh myself for the first month so as to avoid this issue. Now I weigh every day but the average over the weeks and months is the key figure.

Weight loss is not linear and since you just started losing, most of what you lost on week 1 was water weight. Just keep it up and you will see progress.
