He picked Melissa after Molly tearfully told him what a huge mistake he was making.
At the "After the Rose" ceremony, Creep "tearfully" (crocodile tears) told Melissa that things had changed and he wanted to give Molly another chance.
As 'jholly' humorously pointed out, Molly was thrilled to get another chance with the creep.

I thought about Ty, too. Not only did he do this to Melissa, but what about Ty? I'm sure that Creepo wasn't off gallavanting in New Zealand without Ty for 6 weeks, so now what does he tell HIM?
He came across as such a nice guy from the beginning. But now, we all get to see what a big jerk he is in reality. Melissa couldn't have said it better: "You *kitten*."
I thought the way she handled herself was wonderful, though. She was classy and said what she felt without being crazy about it. At one point she said to him "Getting engaged was a once in a lifetime thing for me and you took that away from me." For him, I guess that the FOURTH time will be a charm? Considering he was married and divorced, proposed to Deanna who wisely said NO, proposed to Melissa -- he's already up to 3 engagement rings in the toilet!!!0 -

I have no idea what it's going to be about! Did you see the one "Girl's Tell All" show where they showed all of the previous "contestants" that have hooked up??? It's turning into a Real World type show. If that's the case, I'm going to drop it like a bad habit.0

What an absolute scumbag!!! I could tell throughout the season that he had no idea what the hell he wanted!! He was so wishy-washy with so many.
I think he needs a stint in therapy before he pursues any other kind of relationship because he is MESSED up!!

I couldn't agree with you more. I was sitting in my living room screaming at Melissa (through the TV of course ) "SMACK HIM, YOU TWIT!!!!!"
The best was when my boyfriend watched the show with me, he would get up and pantomime all of the scenes where they showed Jason gazing off into the sunset, contemplating which girl he was going to royally screw over next. He was like "How ridiculous would this look in real life!?!" or "Would you still love me if I did this?"
And, please. Be a man! What's with alllllllllllllllllllllll of the tears!!!?!!?!!!?!??! You're on a nationally televised TV show where you get to date (and potentially sleep with!) 25 beautiful women in 6 weeks!!!!!!! I wanted to check under his skirt for a string....

The whole show I was on the fence about who he would pick. I didnt picture him with either of them. Then he did that! OMG! Jillian must be so happy that he did her the favor of kicking her off and sparing her that embarassment. I will watch it again if she is the next bachelorette. I liked her best.
***Plus, while my aunt was dying of cancer for 18 mths, I had dinner with her every week and watched Bachelor/Bachelorette. It is sentimental for me. Not sure if I can give it up! :flowerforyou: :smooched:0 -

I heard (from a magazine) that this was all a publicity stunt to get higher ratings and that he had been seeing Molly all along during the 6 weeks and that she knew about this...I dont know if I believe that necessarily, but she did seem a bit "unemotional" when he told her he was letting her go. All she kept saying was, "You're making a mistake" Maybe she hides emotions, but if the man I love just chose someone else over me, I would be a crying, sobbing, mess. So maybe she did know and it was all a set up! WHO KNOWS! Either way, I DO NOT like him0
