What are you proud of?

Do you ever work really hard at something and when you accomplish it you are filled with pride, but then a little voice in your head tells you it's stupid. That you shouldn't be proud because most people could do that easily? Do you feel ashamed for being proud of something so trivial? Well I want to start this thread so we can say what we are proud of even if that voice in your head says you shouldn't be!
I am really happy and proud because yesterday I hit a new deadlift personal best lifting 47kg. That is not a lot of weight, and a lot of people could lift it without trying, but I have worked really hard for 10 months to get to this point and I am proud of it!

I'm proud of being able to jog for an hour non-stop, even if it is only at the 'ridiculous' speed of 6.8-7kph!8

Way to go! Deadlifts are the best lifts!!!
I was really proud that I maintained my weight through the lockdown and didn't gain.7 -
That I am on week 2 of couch to 5k and I bloody hate running!5

I am proud that I have lost 100 lbs from my heaviest, and most of it in a year. I am also proud that I went from literally doing nothing all day long, to pushing my body everyday with exercise. Right now I am at my absolute fittest I've ever been in my life at age 55. There is still much room for improvement, but I'm getting there day by day!8

That is definitely something to be proud of! The only reason I didn't gain weight is that the beginning of lockdown was also the beginning of the busiest time of year for our farm! Also I love deadlifts, and weight training in general. When I was in hospital with a broken spine a physical therapist came to teach me how to get I and out of bed safely. I asked her if I could ever deadlift again and she said that I shouldn't be because lifting weights is dangerous! I requested a new physical therapist the same day.3 -

I feel proud that my decision is working out, to ultra-slowly lose a few more pounds, starting back in October, in year 4+ of maintenance. That was before my birthday, before the holidays, before the post-holidays irritation with indoor exercise that annually leads me to shrink my activity hours (and lasted longer this year, as the rowing club was closed, and is still limited).
I won't add the "stay at home" orders, or other coronavirus issues, to that list of potential counter-forces, because it turned out that, for me, fewer social events, restaurant meals, and brewpub visits actually made the slow-loss process easier. (That's an individual effect, obviously. I know it's been a weight management challenge or roadblock for others, and empathize. It's been a challenge for me, too, just in other ways.)
My trend-line was getting into the upper 130s pounds there in the Fall, with the occasional individual day over 140 (I'm 5'5"). Now sitting at around 130, plus or minus a pound-ish.
It's a big confidence builder that I can make a slow loss actually work, while keeping the drama level ultra-low, where I like it.9 -
I'm proud that I have developed a strong resolve about food and weight. I don't whine or feel helpless and act like a victim of cravings. I know what I need to do..how to eat..how to move. I know fitness and health is all up to me. I'm just happy that I no longer use excuses or feel like weight gain is something out of my control. I realize it is 100 percent me, all the time.6

I was soooo proud the first time I could do a rope climb at 58 years old!!! Don’t know why this was so significant to me but it doesn’t matter! I felt like a hero in an action movie lol!!7

Today I did my morning strength workout. Luckily I have home gym set up so I could get in some weight training. This afternoon my partner and I went for a 2 hour hike. I'm really happy and proud that my endurance is getting good enough to do lots in one day!!2

I'm proud that I don't let my congenital heart defects or my bipolar limit who I am or what I am capable of. Eventually I will have to physically slow down but until then I intend to continue conquering everything in my way and finding ways to push myself as far past my comfort zone as possible.4
