The last three weeks i havent lost any weight at all im the same i know that that isnt bad but i dont know why im not losing anymore I want to stay positive and not give up but it is becomin hard I havent measured myself so i am goin to do that tonight, My fiancee says that he can see a little of a difference in my face and of course my top lol but i want to loose in my stomach and thighs How do i do that ? is there certain exercises or certain foods i need to do and eat? I am goin to start the 30d shred tomorrow cause (i know excuse right) but i have been so sick today its cold and miserable here. Anyway I love this sight so much and have come across alot of people on here that have helped alot and for those who have been there I was wondering what they have done to loose the weight or to target certain areas ???? Im NOT goin to give up now :indifferent: :frown:

  • Do you think you could open up your diary, so we could see what you are eating? It could be just minor changes you have to make. What do you do for exercising?

I learned the hard way that you can't "spot reduce" or target a certain area to lose fat.

Yeah unfortunately you don't have the ability to target certain areas. It comes off all over. Are you staying under your calorie target? That's probably one of the biggest things needed to accomplish your goals.

I think you should open your diary too. Lots of good input here based on what you actually eat. Don't be discouraged. Remember we all have felt like that at some point. It doesn't last nearly as long as that great feeling when you see that scale start to move.

Yup, no such thing as spot training. Don't let that discourage you from keepoing up with exercise though. Everything you do will burn calories and be helpful! Glad you're starting 30DS - it's a great program!

I also agree that the problem may be in your diet. I just broke a 3 week plateau myself and guess what did it - a weekend of eating healthy but more calories than I had been. It's actually possible that you're not eating enough...because if the body doesn't get what it needs, it holds on to what it gets.

    Good luck!

Weights and cardio is all that you can do. Combined with a pretty clean diet(lean meats, fruits, veggies, minimal processed foods), and you'll be shaping up in no time!

Look at your diary....Is there too much or too little fat and protein? Make sure you are not eating too little.

Stay strong! You can do this!

You can't make yourself burn fat from specific areas. You just have to exercise and eat a healthy, balanced diet and your body will burn fat. You just have to be patient and keep at it. And, like the others have said, if you open your food diary we can make specific recommendations regarding your food habits.

One thing that can make eating healthy meals easier is to make them ahead of time on the weekends. You can either refrigerate or freeze them while you wait to eat them later in the week. You can also plan out your meals and prep as much as possible casseroles or other dishes so that they can be put together and cooked quickly and easily. And of course, leftovers can be taken to work for lunch.

I totally agree on this! I cook in bulk on Sundays, and it is so helpful throughout the week. I also plan all of my meals on Sunday too. I log all of it on this site, so I know that I'm going to stay on track. It helps so much, I know exactly what I'm eating, and it just feels good to know I'm in the right direction. Might be a bit too much, but it's become a habit of mine.

I like planning my meals at least a day ahead of time too. Of course, right now I'm pregnant so I only log occasionally to make sure my general habits are still good. But, when I was losing weight I'd always plan my meals and workouts so there was no stress and no guesswork.
