So i knew it would happen...Plateu with less than 1lb to go from my Goal weight. So what did i do...Well 2 weeks ago i changed up my workout routine and hit the Gym 5days in the week rather than the usual 3...Kept my diet about the same.
Last week I traveled to the US so it was a bit more difficult but i managed to work out 4 days..so one extra day than the norm. Plus i walked way more than normal since i didnt have a rental car. I did manage to stay within range on my calories with some days over and some still under.
Looking forward to seeing the results and meeting or beating my target, boy was i surprised to see that i put on 3pounds!! Seriously!! how the heck did that happen??
I've plateued before and know that some funky stuff can happen but never would have imagined that i would gain 3lbs. I bit discouraging but kind of odd at the same time since i actually went down another notch on my belt.
So a couple things come to mind, im doing too much weight training and/or not drinking enough water. Either way this sucks!

Just thought i'd share this little of tug of war story. I'm gonna get through it. Gonna try more cardio and less weight training to see how it goes.

Honestly weight is just a number. What was your body fat percentage when you started? You may have gained some muscle instead of loosing weight. Or you could have gained a bit of water weight. I would not worry about a 3-5lb fluctuation.

Probably just water weight from travel/different foods. Two weeks is not nearly enough time to see any significant difference in muscle mass.

If you flew...which I'm assuming you did, you are most likely retaining water. Give it a few days and don't be so hard on yourself. As someone else said, 3-5 lb flux is not a huge deal. Take a breath and go chug some water :drinker:
