I created a recipe. Is it automatically added to the database? I have a friend that wants to use it and can't find in her search.

Recipes cannot be added to the database, only foods can.1

If your friend goes to your diary and you've logged the recipe they can copy your recipe into their own.2

@strongwouldbenice do you mean they can copy the recipe to be a part of their recipe's?0

If your diary is viewable by friends, she can look at your day and copy the meal (with its nutritional info) to her own diary for today. But I don't think she can view and then edit the quantities of the ingredients.
I believe you'd need to send her the recipe for her to enter, for her to have the ability to adjust/update it.1 -

As above ^, she can log the recipe in her diary (like I do when my friend gifts me her chocolate brownies) but can't see the amounts or edit it or anything.1
