Awkward, introverted or other social challenges welcome

I am looking for other people to connect with and help motivate each other with fitness goals. I'm not good at connecting and I find it difficult to follow the longer threads so I thought I'd try a new one.
I am struggling staying motivated with making dietary changes. I do really well for a few weeks and then the novelty of a new app or fitness routine wears off and I want to eat for comfort.
Please feel free to join, tell your story, or just say hi.

Hi! I’m a total introvert and suffer from extreme social anxiety, although over the years I have developed strategies to help manage it (the SA manifests more in person than online, I’m better at communicating through writing) and it’s taken me years to realize that although I have SA I’m not actually shy which is the weirdest thing but anyway, I lost weight and have maintained the loss for 6+ years through literally eating less and moving more. I don’t follow any diet... I eat whatever I want, when I want, just not as much as I want! I’ve become a runner after previously not even being able to walk around the block or climb a single set of stairs without being out of breath. Now I run up and down hills and mountains whenever I feel like it, it’s been truly life changing. I did have to overcome some of my social anxiety to be able to be out running in public, but now it’s routine for me and it doesn’t faze me anymore. If I could lose the excess weight and find fitness then you definitely can do it too! Good luck on your journey! Everyone can feel free to add me5

Wow, I almost thought your were talking about me. I'm hoping that by adding some new friends on here it will help keep me coming back. I do get social anxiety but I find hiding behind a keyboard does help. I will send you a friend request and hope that we can help each other along the way.1 -
