new year's resolutions: lose 5-15 pounds by thanksgiving

who wants to join me for weekly check-ins on wednesday? your goal must be to lose 5-15 pounds by thanksgiving (usa), starting 9/14 and ending 11/23 (a duration of 11 weeks).

    hi, i'm dawn. i am 33, married and have two boys (9 and 8). i hope we are blessed with more. :) i like to read, scrapbook, write, knit, garden - mostly sedentary things. lol. my husband and i walked a half-marathon on june 5, which i am very proud of, and i hope to run one in october.

    I am definitely joining this group again. I looked forward to the weekly Wednesday check -ins the past 2 months and I lost about 5 pounds. I'm on vacation now so I'm not putting my numbers up yet, but wanted to make sure I didn't lose the post. Will check in tomorrow or Thursday.

    Hi everyone! I'm Meagen. I'm a student, actually I start grad school in about 20 days and I'm getting a little nervous. So my hobbies don't really matter as soon they will be eat, sleep, workout, and do research :wink: I'm going to weigh in tomorrow and use that as my start weight....See you all on the 14th!

    Hi, my name is Renee and Im married with 2 toddler boys. Ive been struggling lately with my weight loss journey. In June, I was 8lbs away from my goal weight but lost motivation and gained 10lbs back. Then, I went on vaction for 3 weeks in August and gained 10 more. So, Im back trying to get this weight off once and for all. By the end of this challenge, I hope to be back to the weight (167) I was before I got off track at the beginning of the summer.

    Hi everyone,
    I am Nat, This will be my second time with Dawn's group
    I have four children, 3 boys & a girl, I am married & have been for over 3 years now. I put all my weight back on again with my 3rd son (6yrs between 2nd & 3rd boys) then fell pregnant with my daughter (15 months between them) put more weight on. I decided i needed to get fit to keep up with them all. My weight has been up & down since i started on mfp. I will get to my goal weight no matter how long it takes me.

    Hi! I am a 21 year old college student. I really enjoy watching sports, cooking/baking, and hanging out with my family! I am active in a bunch of student orgs on my campus as well as going to school full time and working part time. I am a busy girl that is trying to look and feel as good as I can! :)

    My name is Britta. I'm married with a 3 (almost 4) yr old daughter. I'm a college student and I work part-time as well. I did 2 sprint triathlons this summer and am doing my first 10K November 5th. I am also involved with many student orgs and do tons of community service projects. I'm super busy and only getting busier so it's been a tough few weeks adjusting to being back in school and doing the balancing act again after a nice summer break.

    Hi! My name's Alison. I work full time and am also getting my Master's Degree. I did really well on the last challenge and am hoping this one treats me just as well. I just got back from a vacation so I'm ready to work hard. I usually get lazy over the winter and gain weight so I'm hoping to really get a great foundation of exercise going during the fall and early winter. I really love the P90X exercise regimen (sp?) so that's what I try to keep up on. I also like to go biking and take walks around the lake with my boyfriend.

    To reach my goal I will have to lose around 1.2 lbs per week. This may be a bit high, but I think I can still do it. I was down to 143.8 just a couple of weeks ago and my exercise and eating has kind of been off kilter since then. So I think I'll have a couple pound loss the first 2 weeks to get me started.

    I am well, have had a busy day at work. I have been doing work outs every other day so far. I drink so much water at the moment.
