Lower back injury

Options
Hello anyone have tips or advice on how to fix a lower back injury.
Whilst on my road bike I've pulled a muscle and really tight in the lower back.
Anyone had any success with a method of alleviating the pain, relaxing the muscles?
It's very sore!

Maybe take some magnesium. Helps with nerve pain. Then yoga!!! Yoga helps so much. Or call it stretching if that sounds better hahah!! I use the down dog app. Really gives you lots of options for a custom workout!! I recommend hip opening restorative yoga for 10-30 minutes!! Then soak in a tub with Epsom salt!!

Thanks I'll take a look at that yoga app. Pulled my lower back when cycling but carried on and then couldn't stand straight when I got off my bike!
It's been a week, can stand straighter but pain still there.
Will try the bath salts too

PT. It’s amazing what they know.

Everyone is different. There’s no reason why your back pain is anything like mine. But the key to my lower back pain was found in my glutes and hamstrings.

Look on YouTube if you’re looking for immediate help. There’s tons of stuff on lower back relief.

I second physical therapy. They worked wonders for my ankle recently.
Also, you can try a heating pad - that has helped my back before.
Depending on how severe it is, you may need to take ibuprofen regularly for 1 week (600mg 3x/day). It will help with inflammation so the muscle can heal.
