It's not going to be easy and you're not going to be perfect but decide right now that you're going to stick with it no matter what. Then do it! Best of luck.
  • Cut out caffeine. Eat more veggies and less fast food. Walk more. I'm in pharmacy school and I make a point to park well away from class so I have to walk. Every little bit helps. More water! Only weight once a week. And surround yourself with positive people. Every ounce lost is a victory. But never beat yourself up over the small things. Tomorrow is always a new day. :)

eat foods you like, maintain caloric deficit, profit :)
  • Eat healthy foods. Move around. Success!

Though, honestly: Avoid processed foods and anything with a list of ingredients full of bull**** you can't pronounce. Eat fresh foods often. Don't deny yourself things; eat those things rarely and in moderation. Try not to drink your calories. Make sure you're not just restricting calories but keeping your body properly fueled with the nutrients it needs. Measure your food, don't just guess.

Don't listen to anybody else about eating your exercise calories. Try it both ways and see what works for you. When you hit a plateau (which you will), change something up. Find exercise you enjoy, not something you push yourself into. Strength training is important.

Don't make any changes you're not willing to stick with for the foreseeable future.

Expect to see a 1/2 pound to 2 pound per week loss. Don't be impatient. It'll happen.

I highly recommend buying a food scale and being religious about measuring your food. You'll be surprised how little a serving really is and how much you are overeating (I'm assuming here). If you're having problems losing and you think you're doing OK, this may open your eyes to what the problem is. I will also recommend eating mainly from the perimeter of the grocery store, basically few if any processed/boxed foods.

    Good Luck!
