Hello everyone. My name is Mindie and while I am new to the My Fitness Pal website I am not new to the program since I have been using it on my phone since the beginning of July. I started my weight loss journey the last week of June when my friend, who also wanted tro lose weight, challenged me. We were both having a hard time losing and thought we needed that "buddy push". I have lost 30 pounds since then, starting at 240 and am now at 210 (with many, many more pounds to go of course). My husband even became encouraged by losing weight and he has also lost 30 pounds, and also uses My Fitness Pal on his phone. I know I can do this I just seem to hit walls around every 10 pounds or so.

In my life I am a mother of two children (a 5 year old and a 21 month old). I don't work right now but I volunteer a ton for my children and my children's preschool. I also go to school fulltime (half online and half in person) and am earning my Bachelors in Psychology and my teaching certification in Elementary Education.

I look forward to meeting people to encourage me along the way, and that I can do the same for others, and I am hoping to reach my goal of being in the 1's by my birthday (October 10).
