What weird habits have you developed since dieting?

Constantly pulling up my shirt so I can look at my stomache (but only in bathrooms where it's one stall). I'm amazed at how much smaller its become and also how much less the stretch marks are appearing. I like that I am actually getting a waist and hips as opposed to a one size fits all body0

feeling my rings, which are now loose!
Yep me too!!!
didn`t do the collar bone thing but after reading it now...I just had to touch lol!0 -
Totally the collarbone thing. I also am frequently touching my jawline (since I now have a jawline). I also stroke my elbow since I now have a very defined one. Alos, whenever I make a recipe, I write down everything in it and figure out the calories per serving. It gives me a boost (and yes, I like math).0

oh yeah, i also constantly am twisting my ring on my fingers and pulling them off and on because they are so loose now and used to be so tight I couldnt get them off0
-
I do the wrist thing. But my fingers overlap, almost the entire nail bed (I think I'm tiny inside). They used to not even touch!!!
I also put my seat belt on religiously. I hadn't been able to wear one for like 15 years and I'm like a reformed smoker. I scream at everyone to wear them.
Oh and 3rdlly, I wait for the hostess to ask "booth or table" and scream "BOOTH!"

lol love that more women are weird about their collar bones!
Realized I pose more for pics...like pose, pose haha turn the hips and shoulders a certain way to look as thin as I can haha
Wanting muscle tone like I never had before0 -
I sometimes weigh peanut butter
I put my bagel thin on the scale, zero it out, then apply my Nutella!! Glad I am not the only one.0 -
I loooooove my collar bones, I touch them all the time, enough that my husband catches me and tells me to stop, lol!
I obsessively look at recent pictures of myself. Like over the weekend we had a family get together to celebrate multiple birthdays and I spent hours comparing the photos to photos that were taken last year. The difference is startling sometimes and I really can't believe it. I also beg my 6 year old to hug me all the time - before, her arms didn't reach around me, and now they do!0 -
Grabbing my butt to see if its getting firmer
I actually do this too0 -
i count calories in my head throughout the day o_o when I go shopping i think about food in terms of calories, like I bought 3 peaches today and thought "~80 calories each" o_o
i also stand on the scale up to maybe 10 times per day.
Oh, on the topic of collar bones (noticed a lot of discussion here), I read a study a few months ago that said Japanese men found women's collar bones showing to be attractive lol.0 -
:laugh:I actually look in the mirror when I walk by one, I never use too but now I look and don't wanna cry! I too weigh everything and look at the labels. I find myself flexing and asking the wife if my arms look bigger.....daily, lol.
I have a mirror in my bedroom and I look at myself every time I go into the bathroom (side view)... It is a very werid habit but I have noticied a major change and it's like I am taking mental photos of myself. I often suck in my gut to imagine future results
I do the same.
Another one is flexing and making people poke my abs. "There are totally abs under the flub... Just poke harder." And yes that is exactly what I say!!!!0 -
I bought myself a mini set of kitchen scales and weigh everything I eat unless it's prepackaged
Bones! I like to see if I can see my collar bones or when I lie down I like to feel my hips/ ribs :x0 -
I flex my biceps all the time now...I can't stop looking at them! And, my husband says I don't snore anymore so that's pretty cool.0
-
I noticed something yesterday that I do all the time now. When I'm sitting in my recliner and watching TV, I'm hugging my knees to my chest, just because I can now0
-
I always slip my engagement ring off & then back on- probably a hundred times a day- Before I lost weight it was to the point that I would have to take it off for a few days because it was so tight it would get red & sore
I also periodically give my fiance an estimate on the calories in the food he's eating- he asked for me to make him 3 eggs the other day & I was like...seriously?..Do you really want 3 eggs? Are you sure?...and he said yeah what's the problem is it because it's 3 (I hate odd numbers) & I was like No, but you know those are going to be at least 70 cals each?...He just rolled his eyes & walked away...0 -
You mean besides spending 22 hours a day on MFP?? :-)0
-
With you on the wrist-wrapping. I have noticed my right wrist is thicker than my left wrist, but it's probably more well-built because I'm right handed.
It's not a WEIRD habit, but I keep crossing my legs without thinking, which always surprises me because that was impossible 10 months ago.
When it comes to estimating calories with friends, I'll perform arithmetic calculations under my breath, which they find quite amusing.0 -
I stare at my abs alot in the mirrors at the store. Or ya'll know how they have those mirrors where you can see every angle?? I study myself in it. I measure myself every week ( I work in a tailoring shop ) and I touch my hip bones.0
-
Really looking forward to feeling my hip bones!0
-
- staring at myself in the mirror
- doing calorie calculations in my head
- measuring everything
- trying on clothes that now fit0 -
**touches collar bones** OMG that is amazing!
I find when I am driving I rub the space where my triple chin used to be and now there's only one and a half!
I am also obsessed with my ankles! When I take off my socks there isn't the dug in creases from the elastic!0 -
I am starting to obsess about calories. I use it like a currency. I exercise (earn $) to eat later (spend $). :happy:0
-
I LOOK AT INGREDIENTS FOREVER AND SOMETIMES ASK TOO MANY QUESTIONS AT A RESTAURANT. OH WELL.
SAME!! my friends almost left me at the bar last night!!0 -
I like some people who have commented on here Hold my hands on my hips haha !
I just feel mega confident like this my apperence may not have changed much but hey if I feel happier thats all that matters ! :-)0
