Loose skin or just fat?

First of all I would like to ask: is there a way of telling loose skin apart from fat?
I've read lots of different takes on whether you can or cannot get rid of loose skin after (rapid?) weight loss. the thing is I'm only 17 and have bingo wings! A few years ago I lost about 20kg, some of that healthily and some through trying to starve myself/ over exercising, etc.
I've had people tell me they'll eventually go away on their own in time but it's been a couple of years and they still haven't, umm.. disappeared
Will toning exercising targeting my triceps or losing more weight steadily and healthily help?
Thank you!~

I have no idea whether they'll completely go away... some things are just genetics... but toning WILL help!0

Hi
I dont know if you watch the biggest loser, but when Ive seen them at the end and they have been quite big to start of with, you wouldnt know they were ever that big . They have had bingo wings and lose skin around there stomachs but with the right exercise and toning its evident that you can get rid off them. Thats what Im hoping Im trying to get rid of my bingo wings and after having my little girl trying to get rid of the baby belly. So if they can do it I suppose anyone can, so I wish you luck0 -
I'm 40 and am battling with my bingo wings too - have been doing exercises using cans of tomatoes and tricep dips! I think some of us just have weak areas - my legs are really muscular for example and my butt is quite pert but yes flabby arms. But I also think a lot of cardio exercise that I do uses my legs and so I have to make a conscious effort with my arms. Try swimming, yoga moves and push ups ( i think you can do ones with your hands closer together which work your triceps more than your biceps/pecs) and over time they will tone up. In the mean time there are always cardigans!!!
My husband insists that my arms seem tighter this week (I'm going slightly over the top this week as I have a sleeveless dress to wear on Saturday!) Good luck!0 -
i think the best thing is tone up exercises and prevent loosing weight fast it should be slowly but surely process, like having a healthy living.
fast track has pros and cons to avoid cons stick on long way process. hope this helps0
