So I screwed up again today but I logged it this time! I gained 20 pounds back and I’m having a hard time getting on track!

Great job logging even if your day didn’t go as planned! Please be kind to yourself. I find setting smaller action based goals can be good when I’m struggling. That way my goal will be easily in my control (did I log or not) instead of something that has more variables (did I lose 1 kg).
So for example your goal might be to log every day this week even if your calories aren’t perfect. Perfect calories can be a goal for the future. For me, my goal is to go for 3 runs this week but I have no targets for distance or speed.2 -
Stay honest with it. Thats so crucial!2

I feel ya! I lost 2.5 stones last year and have put all but 1 stone back on since Christmas I also started logging again this week. The first few days are always the hardest, I'm holding onto the memory of it getting easier as my body and mind adjusted last time... Keep on keeping on. I reckon we're only failing if we give up altogether. It's a bigger success to overeat one day and then keep logging and trying the next, than it would be to coast through a diet with ease. Don't let's judge ourselves by outside standards, but only by the metric of "Did I log again today, whatever the number?" Hugs. You got this.0 -

I hear you! I’m struggling with a major sugar/food addiction. I use food to comfort me, mainly unhealthy, sweet foods to comfort me.
I know I can lose weight when I put my mind to it. I lost 80 lbs back in 2016 after my 3rd kiddo, and now that I’m done having kids and I’ve put back 30lbs of quarantine weight on, I’ve GOT to get this under control.
I feel you! We can do this!1 -
Me too! I gained 12 pounds from the start of quarantine till now I need to loose 25 total but 12 to start0

I try to look at eating as a 6 day diet. Be strict for those 6 days and on the 7th eat what you want without gorging. That way you're never more than 6 days away from waiting for that day to eat some good stuff. On that 7th day, eat a healthy breakfast (if you eat breakfast) but for lunch and dinner eat what you've been craving during the 6 days.0
