I have just started IF 5 days ago. I need support to help me through. I did good the first 3 days, not losing anything though, I blew it yesterday and broke my fast @ 1pm.... to many carbs too.
If you are a die hard IF person please be my friend!!!

May I ask why you decided to do IF? I have read a little about it in my search for tips to get lean, and have done it a couple times, but am still pretty hesitant about it.0

I feel so much better during the day, I've never been a person that would eat before 12 or 1pm. Forcing myself to eat 6 meals a day just doesn't feel right for me.0 -
... I am confused that just sounds like an eating disorder... which is fine many people are on here to over come that... not to encourage it. I hope there is more behind this than a five day no eating binge. Good luck to you on your path.0

I do intermittent fasting usually once a month .. I've done anywhere between 3days to 40 days <--- wouldn't suggest that .. i normally do 3-5 days the thing to understand about fasting is it's not something you do cold turkey your body is use to eating and you really shouldn't just stop eating for days you have to break your system down and work up to the no food, start the week before by slowing your meals down (strictly from a fasting perspective not a working out perspective) I usually workout when I do my fast but although I am not eating I make sure i get plenty of water and V8 splash .. the mechanics of 'fasting" have to be understood there are more dynamics than just "i am not going to eat" you have to understand how your body reacts to that and usually it's not going to respond how you want it too because to your body you are starving it ... many frown upon doing it, I've gotten quite good at it (discipline) i lose weight, i am not weak, and i can still workout, the normal in the beginning days and lighten it up towards the middle and the end... hope this helped0

I do eat my calories, just later in the day... a 5 hour window. This stops my cravings at night too.0 -

Thank you!!0 -
i've done a 16/8 approach for the past 3 or 4 months, helped me get through a plateau and really drop some stubborn fat0

I do IF. I also do the 16/8 approach. It's a new lifestyle for me. Eating two full meals a day feels so much better. Stuff myself at dinner. When I did 6 meals a day, I had to cook, pack, and wash all those containers.
Just stick to it and your body will get used to it. It helps if you are concentrating on something else. You know how it is when you are so into something, time just fly by.0 -
Thanks everyone!!0

I've been reading (almost obsessively) about IF for months. I'm ready to take the plunge. I'd be happy to have some friends on a similar track.0
