Boot Camp question - Muscle soreness

I have been part of a boot camp where I live. I do it early morning M/W/F. After the 3rd day, my muscles have not been sore. During boot camp and I am constantly out of breath, well not fully but it is close. So there are times where I am taking breaks. I feel like I am pushing myself. Then she also has us do individual challenges during the week. This week is a certain amount of jump squats and bottom half squats. My legs today are sore from what I believe are from the squats. (We worked mainly upper body on Wednesday). Am I doing something wrong? Is this normal? In bootcamp we do a lot of skaters, squats (in many forms), burpees. Thoughts?

I'm not understanding what the problem is. Some soreness is normal from exercise. If you're saying you're too sore.. as in difficulty moving normally.. then you may need to adjust your training volume.1

This sounds pretty normal to me. All forms of squats are notorious for causing soreness but they are great for the lower body. As you continue to do these workouts, the soreness will likely lessen, but you will likely often experience some soreness. For me, today my shoulders are sore because yesterday was very upper body focused. But no where near as sore as they would have been two years ago from yesterday’s workout!!

So long as you can get up and down stairs without actually cursing you are probably fine. That said, do make sure you are doing some proper stretches afterwards, as they help.0
