If lifting, which I do 5 days a week now, I go with a EAS AdvantEdge shake. Small, minimal impact on the cals, great protein intake to help build the lean muscle.

working out always decreases my appetite immediately after...but since it's supposed to be good for muscle recovery and to help prevent soreness, I drink a whey protien shake about 15mins post workout everyday.

It really depends on what workout I do. I'm usually extremely thirsty. However, if I do a weights workout and feel I must eat I'll drink a recovery drink and it usually fills me up!

I have a protein or fiber bar before I work out to tide me over.

I tend to eat dinner after my workout. But if I've already eaten dinner, then I have a glass of milk.

i know it sounds counterproductive, but the best recovery drink i have taken is 1 serving of Nestle's ChocoMilk and a good source of protein like whey or eggs. the surge of Carbs will be used up by the broken down muscles quickly and protein will be used up. all the scientific stuff is too much to write.

After a hard workout I will have water, then an Herbalife Protein shake. After lesser workouts, just a piece of fruit until the next meal.

    4-6 ounces fruit juice
1/4 cup of plain fat free yogurt
    1/4 frozen berries
    1/2 banana
    1/4 scoop of protein powder
    dash of salt

mix in blender. makes one nice sized 8-12 ounce shake. consume it within an hour of working out. have a nice balanced protein filled meal an hour or two after.

I work out before work most of the time so I will eat breakfast. If I am working out after work it's usually dinner. If none of the above them I have granola or something light :)
