Weighing Frozen Food

Hi everyone! I use frozen mash and weigh the little cubes frozen, so I know 7 cubes is about the recommended 100g serving size. I usually heat it up in the microwave and then add a little water to keep it from being too dry, but just so happened to weigh it on the plate after all of that and 100g is now 135g?? Does the water really add that much? I only add a splash!

Well water doesn't have any calories so just use the weight before adding water.0

I use a wet paper towel over the food I cook in a microwave for moisture and that only adds the right amout to not dry out the food and no additional water.0
