Cramp in ribs won't go away?

Ever since a weekend dancing downtown, I've had this cramp on the right side of my rib that won't go away :S I'll walk somewhere, dance, do some minor exercise and I'll feel it. I have never had such a problem with cramping before lmao. I'll get them, stretch 'em or ignore them and their gone within a short period of time regardless. Not this one though, so now I'm confused =[
Anyone else have this issue? How can I get rid of it
Clearly stretching isn't helping me all that much.

With the change in your life style you might being losing potassium. Low Potassium causes cramping. Trying adding a bannana to your diet. If that doesnt work your might have strained the muscle slightly. Try to avoid any lifting excersices for a week and alternate heat and cold to help relax it. Also some motrin might help as it is an anti-imflamitory. Hope this helps0

Get it checked. I actually have a friend who dislocated one of her ribs laughing hard and she mentioned it felt like a cramp.0

Hmm, you may be right. I don't really track my potassium, but I do eat bananas on a semi-regular basis. Guess I'll eat moar
Any other suggestions MFP ? =]0 -

a cramp would go away. sounds like you have bruised it, you'd know if it was cracked, the pain would be unbearable. Not much you can do for a bruised rib - ice it and tape it- really just have to 'baby' it until it heals; I'd say 5 to 10 days. If it doesn't improve or gets worse, should consult a dr. Damaged ribs can lead to breathing problems/pneumonia and YOU DON'T WANT THAT if they're already bruised.
(I know these things cause I used to get beat up regularly and spent a lot of time in the emergency room)0 -
I've had broken, cracked and sprung ribs. Sprung/ dislocated can feel like bad muscle cramp.but doesn't go away.broken or cracked you may feel that way but will also hurt to breathe. Get it checked out. Not that there's a lot they can do to fix it.but then you will know not to do things to aggravate it.0
