Anyone have experience recovering from a Labral tear?

I'm an avid runner and i've discovered through an MRI that I have a labral tear in my hip as well as a tear in my gluteus medius. I'm extremely bummed out obviously because it means no running for me for quiet a while. I've been resting and doing exercises given to me by an OT but it seems to be healing SO slowly.
Anyone have experience recovering from a labral tear in their hip? What was recovery time like, how did you find recovery? Did you recover without surgery? I'm only 23 and have a lot of genetic issues with bleeding disorders so I want to avoid surgery at all cost.

I would encourage you to see orthopedic doctor.2

Yes, but I don't recall the length of time it took to recover and even that may be skewed.
I was a professional athlete at the time and played through many injuries for my career.
I would suggest discussing your case in particular to your medical advisors and you can get a better estimate on recovery time.

I have a labral tear in my hip from bike crush. I'm s cyclist, not a runner. I went to see orthopedist, got referred to a different orthopedic surgeon who specializes in those injuries. His suggestion was a surgery, no other way to fix it. I wouldn't do that, too much downtime, 6 weeks on crutches with no weight on that leg is too much. So i asked him to try pt. His therapist is great, I've been using him ever since for all my injuries. It didn't fix it, technically, but it has improved my condition dramatically. I barely ever have problem there. It's been few years, i walk and cycle without limitations. If i have a flare up, i just take it easier on walking for a day. It took some time, lots of working and doing prescribed exercises. But i would strongly encourage you to see specialist, get your answers and make a decision then. Your situation is different, but i would not attempt any running. It's going to take a long time for sure, can't be more specific.1

Thank you so much for your insight. Yeah surgery isnt really an option I want to take either. Because I have both hemophilia and VWD recovery time is doubled for me and I would go crazy being on crutches for 12 weeks.
I've started seeing a sports specialist so hopefully the exercises i've been given can help0 -
You won’t technically recover as the tear will never heal without surgery, but the exercises you do with your PT can manage the pain and help you to be active with it being torn. I agree with the suggestions to see a good orthopedic doctor to make sure there aren’t any other issues that are causing your pain.1
