Hi, iv been struggling to loose weight, don't get me wrong I know I didnt put it on in one day so I won't loose it like that either. But iv just stalled for the last 4 weeks , iv only been on mfp for 60 days so I would think its to early for a Plato. In the past iv done no processed grains way of eating and had great success but i Just thought id try eat a balanced diet with calorie - and hopefully all would b good. But iv had nothing ! So im gonna go back to the caveman style and hopefully it'll get things moving again
just wondering if anyone else has had this problem

I just started the Paleo Diet and noticed a big difference already. I've lost like 4 lbs in less than a week and have nearly de-bloated completely. Everyone is different. I was super skeptical about Paleo which is ZERO grains and ZERO dairy, but I feel fine and use substitutes. So far the low carb thing is working out for me.

I do best with high protein so my settings are 45% protein, 25% carb, 30% fat
I get my carbs from whole grains, quinoa, etc....0 -
I realize that it is not the question you asked but if your food log is accurate then you are eating way too few calories and it is likely the reason you have stalled.
If you set up MFP right to start with then the daily calorie goal that MFP gives you already has a calorie deficit built in to lose weight. That said, you should eat close to the calorie goal MFP gives you each day including eating back most of your exercise calories. Depending on how far under the daily calorie goal you are, you are very likely to cause your body to hang onto the fat it has by either slowing down or even stopping fat loss. It may not happen right away but eventually you will most likely plateau. If you have a lot of weight to lose you can probably get away with it longer but as you have less to lose your body will plateau easier. May sound counter-intuitive but that's just the way it is.
I believe that if you increase you calorie intake to the daily goal MFP gives you that you will have much better results.0 -
Yes, this is my problem also, that's half the reason why i gained weight and im currently in the process of fixing this issue. My body hates carbs!!!!!!!!! I eat a handful or rice or pasta and my stomach blows up as if im 4 months pregnant and then.....it takes 3 days for it to disappear and stalls weightloss plan. I can't do this anymore. I am not eating pasta, rice, cereal nor pancakes anymore. eggs for breakfast with no bread, salad with protein for lunch & repeat lunch for dinner and eat grapes or watermelon for snacks 2-3x a day and drink 1 cup of skim milk. I'll only allow myself to eat bad carbs 2-3x a week for a lil while then....ill stop eating it all together. Do what works for you!!!!!!!!!!!0

My ratio is set at 40% carbs 45% protein and 15% fats as i do a lot of running and need the energy release from the carbs to keep me going. However i hear that all the best ratios for losing weight are heavy on protein which makes a lot of sense as you are taking in less slow burning carbs.
I also try to take in a lot of fibre in my diet as it helps me from feeling hungry so i replaced my white bread/rice/pasta with the brown stuff and it seems to make a big difference. I dont find myself snacking between meals.
Good luck to you.0 -
