I have made hair app for tomorrow. I wonder what style would suit me best. I have had long straight hair all my life but feel like
a change . I know very short style wont suit me and that would be too much too soon. I am 40 yrs old and would like a modern, youthful style. All ideas / styles welcome..............to cut or not to cut , that is the question.

A shoulder length bob would look really good... and that cut complements dark hair :happy:0

Cut it, go with a classic bob, my friend who is a beautician says they are back in style lol. I have curly curly hair, so I can not do that, but I Think they are so cute!0

Ask your hairdresser ... a good hairdresser can tell you what style will be good for both your hair type and your face shape.0

I can't quite tell from your photo because of the hat, but I think you have a "heart-shaped face". Basically means you can do anything (lucky girl). So, I ditto the bob - maybe with a little razor-cut layering - depends on your hair type I guess - always classy and can be really modern. Also - a really good stylist should be able to help you make that decision based on your face shape and hair type, etc, etc. Good luck! Have fun!0

I have pretty much always had the same kind of hair, really really long and board straight, and once or twice, I've cut it into a mid to shoulder length style that is really layered and choppy, and they razor the ends of it. It is so easy to fix with straight hair, because you dont have to muck with a curling iron or a bunch of other stuff, and all you need is a flat iron and some hair spray or paste. You don't have to be a stylist to fix it! This cut, it takes a lot of bulk off but you still feel like you have hair. Its great, cute, fun, but still pretty and stylish and goes with everything. I took this pic in with me and asked for this cut but an inch or two longer. http://www.fanpop.com/spots/kelly-clarkson/images/16827894/title/low-promo-photo0
