    Avocado and guacamole, love them now.
    I used to like tacos a lot and now they're just meh.

    I'm trying to think of all the "good for you" foods I ate when starting to lose weight that I might have hated (because, obviously, I've always loved cookies and cakes and pastries, etc) but can't think of a one.

    I'm pretty picky with my "good for you" foods, I guess. :)

    Um, would foods you hate before trying them and then still hating them work? :)

    I used to love blue cheese and pate as a kid, now I'm not a huge fan.

    Also have several taste aversions that I've developed over the years. Peach schnapps, tequila :s key lime pie, coconut macaroons, white marshmallows (I can still have them but only if they are mixed into something). I overdid it a bit and now those foods make my stomach turn.

    There have always been very few fruits and vegetables that I didn't geuinely enjoy, but there are a few that deterred me when I was younger. While the taste didn't appeal to me, it was mostly due to texture or appearance, which usually meant I didn't even try the food.
    Examples include:
    mushrooms, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, pears, okra, sauerkraut.

    Over years of gradually reintroducing these foods, I've grown to like them -- and the texture/appearance don't really bother me like they did when I was younger!!

    There are many foods that I've since dismissed from my diet, however -- due to sensitivities and general dislike for them:
    potatoes, bananas, peas, corn, lentils, beans (except for green beans), nuts, dairy, soy, grains.

    Cauliflower. DESPISED it - the smell, the texture the flavor - all my adult life.

    Not bad now.

    I didn't like greek yogurt but i kept making myself eat it occasionally for the handy protein aspect. Somewhere along the line I began loving it!

    Green peas (still iffy on this one sometimes)
    All kinds of mustard

    I still kind of hate raw tomatoes, especially cherry tomatoes, and absolutely HATE both potato and egg salads.

    Coffee.
    I hated it, even as I reached adulthood.
    Then, I started liking those fancy frozen Frappuccino-type things (gateway drug).
    Then, I started drinking iced lattes.
    Then, any iced coffee, but still didn't like it hot.
    Now, I HAVE to have hot coffee in the morning, with just a splash of milk.
    I suppose next I'll be drinking it black.

    My rule is that I always try something once or again if its been a long time.
    If I don't like it then I don't have to eat it again, but my taste buds have definitely changed over the years!

    I thought anchovy, herring and sardine were gross as a kid, then I went pescatarian and ate them regularly but now back to appalled knowing more about fish and enviornment and consciousness as a vegan
    I love vegetables and enjoy them without anything but maybe sea salt instead of with butter. I just started eating avocadi the past few years
    There are way more I used to love that I would not eat at all now.
