I will be having emergency surgery tomorrow. I will be having a multi level fusion for spinal stenosis. I will be away from the computer for a few days, hopefully, my diet and weight loss will not suffer.

    Just a warning -- you'll very likely see some weight gain from water your body retains to deal with the trauma of surgery. Don't worry about the number on the scale for a while. Also, consider eating at maintenance while you recover -- your body needs energy and materials to repair itself.

    Focus on your recovery and healing for now. You’ll have the opportunity to refocus on weight loss in a few months. Take care.
