Seeking Direction

Good Afternoon!
My name is Jonah. I am new to this myfirnesspal. I am seeking help / direction on getting my A1C down to 100-241 so that I maintain 10% or under. I am looking to get back into Trucking by Jan or Feb of 2021.
My focus is my diabetes, not my weight. Loosing weight would be a by product. Right now I need help finding meal plans that can fit into a tight budget of MAYBE $100-$200 a month. As of tomorrow I will be back on Metformin 500MG to 1000 MG, and using a Meter to test my blood Sugar.

Any suggestions tips on figuring out my food plan? - please note these must be FREE, I have no job, and I have been unemployed since 06/28.

Assuming you're in North America, your local pharmacist will likely have a display counter with free diabetes-related information (there may even be a dedicated section as diabetes medications are likely, to be honest, one of their top-selling classes).

While I'm not living with diabetes, I've seen resources range from suggested recipes, tracking templates that you can fill in, and apps that you can use on your devices (some may even work with your meter)!

With the help of your healthcare team, asking questions in the forums and your obvious motivation, I'm sure you'll even surpass your goals!

(btw, there are truckers who are MFPers too!)
