Best Fitness Tracker?

I'm in the market for a new fitness tracker. I've used a Fitbit in the past, but I am thinking about switching it up this time. Which one do you use? Do you recommend it and why?

What features are you looking for?

Person A's "best" may have way too many features for Person B and Person B's "best" may be woefully inadequate for Person A. It all depends on what you want it to do.

I'm thinking of switching from Fitbit too - I have a pretty new charge 4 and it's constantly disconnecting from bluetooth on my iphone. I have to reconnect it multiple times a day. I'm thinking about the new apple watch and hoping that it has good integration with myfitnesspal.

I have an Android phone so an apple watch won't work for me. I mostly need a heart rate monitor and step tracking. My workouts are usually walking, jogging, hiking, elliptical, yoga and pilates. I would prefer to stay under $300.

I've been using Garmin devices for the past 3 years, currently use a Garmin Fenix 5, it's may be overkill but records everything and the app is very easy to use and has My Fitness Pal integration
