Hi everyone.
I’m new here and insanely desperate to connect with some individuals more experienced and to receive some guidance.
I am very stuck, I’m very new.. I don’t exactly know how to explain everything properly but I’ll do my best!
I’m 125lb, 5’5”, female. 28 years old.
I started my fitness journey from totally sedentary in September 9.
I initially worked out everyday, 7 days a week. But as my intensity increased over this month, I have been consistently working out 6 days a week, 1 hour a day, however every other day I either hike or use stationary bike at varying intensity for 1 hr.
During my daily, every day work out routine,
I target and cycle through upper body, lower body, core, full body and cardio focus, however all the programs I follow sort of have aspects of cardio and body weight strength training both included.
I’ve also incorporated light dumb bells so I can continue progressing.
On the kitchen side of things, I consume 1250 calories a day. I weigh and measure everything. I do follow a ketogenic diet (<20 net carbs a day).

In the last month I have been sweating and putting out my all, I have not lost a single pound. :(
There has been of course fluctuations. But overall I am still 125lb where I started nearly a month ago.
What gives?

Hi sorry, I’d love to but I use a different app for my food/macro tracking.
But that being said my macros are or stay extremely close to 5%C, 20%P, 75% fats.
1250 calories a day. I stay as whole and natural as possible and only drink water with the exception of one protein shake whey isolate everyday after I work out, all included in my macros.
My carbs are vegetables primarily such as cauliflower, cucumber, cabbage, etc.
I eat a lot of egg, a lot of chicken and some cheese.
My fats come from vegan butter, Keto friendly baking such as with coconut flower (“fat bombs”) and little bacon, avocado.

You’re already at a healthy weight. So, any weight loss is going to come very slowly and will likely be masked by water weight. What goal are you trying to achieve. Is it really a weight-based goal, or are you unhappy with how you look? A progressive weight-lifting program might really be what you’re looking for.

Try setting a realistic goal of .5 pounds per week. It’s important not to deprive your body of nutrients over time because you’ll suffer the negative side effects which can include hair loss and brittle nails.

Weight-loss isn’t linear. A weight-trending app (Happy Scale for iPhone, Libra for Android) can help you see the overall trend through all the daily fluctuations of water, food waste, and hormones. Takes about a month or so of weighing daily (same time, same conditions) for the app to get its mojo going. 😊

ETA: water retention is common when beginning a workout program. Your muscles retain water to repair themselves.

Thank you! That’s a really helpful post. I am aware of course my weight is low, I just hoped to start to put a dent in my last 10 vanity lbs.
My intention was to lose those vanity pounds and then start lifting some more weights and building muscle. However it doesn’t seem like the weight is budging, so I’ve started to lift some weights anyway.
My goals are related to how I look, but it is really hard for me to let go of the number on the scale-even if that sounds stupid!
