Hi everyone, I look preety thin on the top but my bottom and my thighs are comparatively big. I started walking and jogging with a strict 1000 cal diet a couple of weeks ago, but I can't see any change. Let's do this together with a weekly update.

You might want to up your calories that seems very restrictive while working out.3

Yes, you should be alerting at least 1200 calories net, that's the minimum a woman needs for adequate nutrition. Possibly more depending on your height and current weight.
And patience, you're not likely to see visible results in only 2 weeks.4 -
1. Spot reduction is a myth
2. 1,000 calories is not enough unless you are inactive and something like 4'8" tall6 -
I wouldn't recommend just jogging as an exercise for slimming legs, it's much more effective to do thigh exercises that target inner thigh muscles, and calf exercises too, because they won't bulk up your legs, but will definitely slim them over time and give you a thigh gap (I'm speaking from experience).2

We are given an body at birth and, if we are lucky to remain healthy, there is almost nothing we can't do. When worrying about how we look, it's good to remember that your very existence is a miracle. Our ability to store multiple days of energy as body fat is one of the things that enabled our success!
As to reshaping your body: You can lose weight by dieting and you can get stronger by exercising (which burns a few extra calories to boot). If you want to have lean muscular legs, lose weight while running or jogging. If you want to have a stronger leg muscles, lose weigh while resistance training (squats, etc.). You can mix and match the two approaches however you want.
If running is too hard, you can try cycling, which can have either effect. In general, low resistance indoor spinning will make you leaner, whereas real outdoor cycling involving hills can make your legs bigger.
Best of luck!5 -
Targeting muscles of any body part DOESN'T slim them. To slim up, you just need to lose overall body fat. And "thigh gap" only works with certain body types.jungkooksdonut17 wrote: »I wouldn't recommend just jogging as an exercise for slimming legs, it's much more effective to do thigh exercises that target inner thigh muscles, and calf exercises too, because they won't bulk up your legs, but will definitely slim them over time and give you a thigh gap (I'm speaking from experience).
