I was wondering if anyone wears the five fingers to spin calls. If you do which style do you use?
Anyone get the shoes that lock into the pedal? I've heard that they can help with form? Would just love to hear what other spinners like to do!
Thanks!

I love my spin shoes - they did change my ride somewhat. My knees are better aligned now. I have not tried the Five Finger shoes and have not seen anyone using them in spin classes at my gym.0

I have been spinning for the last year and just wear my sneaks. I have seen people use bike shoes but never have seen anyone wear the five fingers in class. Bike shoes usually run around $100 +.0

i wear five fingers every day, all day. They are awesome but do take time to get used to. I do not wear them for spin. I have mtb cycle shoes with spd clips for spin class. Five fingers, imo, would not be recommended for spin as they do not give you support and will cause you to use more energy to pedal. The cycle shoes have stiffer souls to allow for the pedalling force to go into the pedals and not through the shoe. the mtb shoes make it easier to walk so are a good compromise; they aren't as good as road shoes but those are hard to walk in.0

Thank you! I love mine! I use them for a core class and they feel so much better than regular sneaks! I am getting a pair of those shoes for spin though...it's become an addiction0 -
i would recommend spinning shoes because the bottom of the spin shoes are rigid and not flexible, this allows you to push with an even force from the sole of your foot, and also you can get some help on the upstroke of the pedal because you can pull on the pedal too with these shoes.
I wore my indoor soccer shoes few times and my feet were in pain after each class, than I bought spinning shoes and it definitely helped a lot.
good luck
lol i am the same way, by buying these shoes i also started going more often...0 -
I also highly reccomend spin shoes. I wore regular sneakers a few times and my feet were in such pain. The more rigid soles of my spin shoes are much better!0
