Who or what motivates your workouts.

My daughters motivate me to stay healthy and work hard, and I'm quite a self conscious person. Maybe it's an age thing 🤔

My motivation: I remember how crappy I felt when I was living a sedentary lifestyle, I used to have chronic aches and pains for apparently no reason and was out of breath after walking around the block or climbing a single flight of stairs. I started walking more because that’s all I could do, then progressed to hiking and running. Now I actually have muscles, stamina and good cardiovascular fitness. I run up and down hills and mountains whenever I want and it’s a fantastic feeling! At 45 I’m the strongest and fittest I’ve ever been in my life and have no intentions of ever going back to my old lifestyle... I’m having too much fun!7

I'm not as far along as you are, but I love, and totally get your post. Here's to NEVER going back!!!3 -
My motivation is heart health. Cardiovascular disease runs in my family (later in life).
COVID has been a huge motivator for me to get to a healthy weight and take care of my health by being active. In the beginning the news kept saying what made someone at a higher risk and obesity is a huge risk.0 -

I love it and I feel great afterward. Working out also helps my anxiety.
At 49 y/o I think I look pretty good and I want to keep it that way. When I get lazy and not want to exercise, I just think of all the benefits I’ve gained and what I could lose if I don’t exercise and I get right back track. Although, sometimes the urge to take a lazy day wins out over my reasoning
Plus, I want to be mobile for as long as I can.1 -
My two dogs always have a ton of energy and have more than enough enthusiasm about a walk to make up for the days I don't really want to go... I can't disappoint them when it's beautiful weather outside and they give me "the look" 😂1

I totally enjoy being physical and want to be able to do just about anything. Jump, run, play sports, hike, climb, etc. Being able to do all of those make me feel younger and I enjoy it. No joint issues, no aches and pains like many of my peers at the same age and I get to embarass many who are younger than me physically when they try to compete in certain things like climbing.

Honestly, I struggle with motivation. I'm currently Pregnant, so I need to make sure I'm getting 30 minutes of exercise a day. I sometimes watch youtubers exercise routines and that gets me motivated!0

Nothing really...I love being out on my road bike or hitting the trails on my mountain bike and just being physically active. I haven't actively trained for any events in a couple of years now, so I rarely think of my rides as a "workout" really...they're just fun and I'm getting exercise and being active. I hit the weight room a couple of times per week these days, and that's about it...not necessarily my favorite thing in the world, but it's important and Fridays are fund because I workout with my wife and our trainer so there's a bit of a social aspect there as well.0
