Tired of it

Can’t believe how heavy I got this year. Time to start losing weight healthily. But I have no willpower and love to lay around and watch TV as well as eating junk so its going to be hard.

Welcome, and good luck! For myself, I find it easier to start with small steps. Without knowing specifics it's tough to tell you where to start, but if you drink soda or juice, replace those with water or something else with no calories. After an hour of TV, walk once around the block. Just small things at first and then build up to longer walks and changing of food habits.3

@Carleebun, @cgrout78 has given you some wise advice. Tiny steps for tiny feet. It starts with one step so make it small. There's no need to overwhelm yourself on the first day. Aim for .5 lb week by measuring your portions and tracking your data points. No cray cray shizz.
Edge your way down slowly. Read the forum stickies at the top of every section. Participate. So go ahead and jump into the pool, the water is fine.1 -

You know, I started off not liking this comment at all and got a little pissy on behalf of the OP.
However, it’s true.
It’s 💯 completely and absolutely true.
Any obstacle or change in life, especially weight loss, starts and is maintained successfully by MENTAL strength. Our attitude, our beliefs about ourselves.
If you tell yourself constantly how hard it’s gonna be, it’s gonna be hard.
It’s impossible to have NO willpower or you’d be 1200 pounds and/or a raging alcohol/drug addict/gambling fiend that in all likelihood would be dead by now. We all possess at least a modicum of being able to say “NO”.
And anyway, weight-loss isn’t all about will-power. Some of it is finding out why you’re checking out of life via food and fixing that.
Good luck to you. You CAN do this 💕
