Hey all,

So i have read a lot of peoples posts and everyone seems to have a tough time shedding those last couple pounds and that seems to be were i am. So i wanted to ask for help and see what advise i can get to get me past this hump.

I stick to my caloric goal mostly, but do i need to be more strict about it? I log everything as accurately as i can.

Should i be upping my calories?

Should i try zig zagging my calories? And if i do, what should be the dailiy goals? And with zig zagging do you eat back exercise calories?

I just started the Couch to 5K program as well, and do the three workouts in that each week. I also walk a couple days a week outside that, and rollerblade a couple times too. As well as (and i know thsi will sound lame) i do wii fit strength and Yoga for at least 30mins when i don't run.

I drink at least 74oz of water each day, sometimes more, rarely less. i once in awhile have a diet soda for that sweet something... Otherwise its homemade goods and i log all of it...

So i will make my diary public and if you can look and give me some feedback that will help me reach this within reach goal, i am forever in your debt!

Thanks!

my suggestion is to never go over the allowable fat.. and if you have to, not by many grams.

    Hi Jo,

When I was on vacation, I was trying to be as "good" as possible, but you know how hard it is to not have an icy cold alcoholic drink on a hot Okanagan afternoon/evening! I was not looking forward to stepping on the scale when we got home, & when I did, I was shocked ! I hadn't logged my foods while we were away, purely due to laziness, but I hadn't gained weight! I (somewhat) got back on track the next few days, & when I next stepped on the dreaded scale, I had actually lost weight. So... maybe increase your cals to "maintain" your weight for a week or so, then go back to your 1200 cals/day or whatever your goal is to lose weight.

Also, the exercises you are doing are probably building muscle, so you may not notice a loss in your weight. Watch for the loss of inches!

I hope that whatever you decide to try will work for you!

I'm down to the last 5, too. Upped my calories for a while and haven't gained, but haven't had any real success losing, either. I'm not much help to you, but at least you know you're not alone!
