Need peeps to help each other stay low carb for the first few months.

Hi! I need some friends who can help each other start and stay on a low carb way of life. I have been overweight my whole life and am ready to slim down before the weight really affects me. I have not made it past one day on any regime and want to buckle down and loose some weight before Spring. We are going to celebrate our 50 year Anniversary and I want to be able to hike again when we go on our trip. I just looked at the date I signed up for MFP; 2015 and to be honest, I have not really tried to change my habits. It's time....

    Changing habits doesn’t mean you have to go low carb. What do you think you will gain from low carb? Is low carb sustainable for you short term? Is it sustainable long term?

    You simply need to eat in a deficit to lose weight. If you eat low carb, but NOT in a deficit, you will still gain weight.
