I see this on several of my friend's diaries. Can someone give me some more info on this?

It's a protein supplement often used in shakes or drinks. I'm unsure what the scientific differences are but, it's supposed to be more of a "natural" protein than the tradition protein supplements. However, I only consume whey protein because i'm a vegetarian. If I were not, I would eat all of my protein from lean meat and only consume whey protein if I were short in my protein goals for that day and couldn't eat anymore.
I don't have a whole lot of knowledge but, I hope I was somewhat helpful.0 -
Whey Protein provide your body with amino acids to kick-start your muscle recovery and growth process.0

I actually drink it after my circuit training sessions. Our muscle tissues tear down when we exercise so it is important that we have our post workout snack after that is packed with protein. Muscle composed mainly of water & protein.0

Help you hit protein macronutrient goals and helps with muscle recovery.0

My aunt is convinced that it is bad for you. That it bulks you up. My protein shakes have whey protein in them and I have lost very little muscle with my weight loss. Almost none of my weight loss has been muscle. If that's bulking up, I'll take it.0

I've had a scoop in smoothies a few times since I can't eat meat right now. I use it as a protein supplement only. However, Mark drinks a protein drink with it every morning because he lifts weights. He swears by it.0

Whey comes from dairy milk, so do you consider yourself a lacto-vegetarian cause you're eating whey protein?0 -

What a dilemma when you consider the fact that whey isolates are virtually lactose free...
BTW, a previous poster mentioned that "Mark" drinks it in the mornings. Who is Mark? Mark Sisson?0
