Hey all-- you may have noticed this, but it was news to me. I like to have soup for lunch. I thought I was getting too much sodium in my diet-- so I went to buy the LOW SODIUM Campbells Chicken noodle soup. The sodium was 200 HIGHER than in the Campbells Soup Healthy Request soup. Healthy Request is lower in calories AND sodium. Crazy! Sometimes labels are sooo misleading. It pays to compare!

This is why I prefer to make my own soup where possible. That way I know exaclty what is going into it.

Thanks for the advice. I have to watch sodum. Also, if you like cereal, Frosted Mini Wheats have zero sodium.

I am with you. I like to make my own soup too. However, for some reason, I usually just make it in the cooler months. Otherwise, I buy it. Hmm.. maybe part of the lifestyle change I need to make :)

I have a great recipe for a chicken and tomato soup if you're interested.

    Only takes about 20 mins.
