NEVER FORGET!!! God bless America and all the nations who lost loved one's in that tragic event ♥

I didn't write this just a repost:

Brave warriors in suits of armor yellow and black,
Answering a call for help without question they go on the attack.

Mounting their powerful steeds of gleaming gold and red,
Of their fears and worries nothing is said.

They race to the battle, an unforgiving demon to slay,
Until the task is complete not one will stray.

Working to exhaustion as their chest's pound,
Into the lair of the beast, insane as it may sound.

To snatch a person from death is the goal and greatest reward,
It's what all the preparation and self sacrifice is geared toward.

They love their country and all their neighbors the same,
It's a vocation that provides little financial profit or gain.

Their mission is simple the American dream to defend,
A life to save, a home to protect, to this they will tend.

    And another I found touching:

    Let the world always remember,
    That fateful day in September,
And the ones who answered duties call,
Should be remembered by us all.

Who left the comfort of their home,
To face perils as yet unknown,
An embodiment of goodness on a day,
When men's hearts had gone astray.

Sons and daughters like me and you,
Who never questioned what they had to do,
Who by example, were a source of hope,
And strength to others who could not cope.

Heroes that would not turn their back,
With determination that would not crack,
Who bound together in their ranks,
And asking not a word of thanks.

Men who bravely gave their lives,
Whose orphaned kids and widowed wives,
Can proudly look back on their dad,
Who gave this country all they had.

    Actions taken without regret,
    Heroisms we shall never forget,
The ones who paid the ultimate price,
    Let's never forget their sacrifice.

And never forget the ones no longer here,
Who fought for the freedoms we all hold dear,
And may their memory never wane,
Lest their sacrifices be in vain.

For the next few days I will try to post a memorial to the people and families of 9-11, I should possibly also add the I'm not American (I'm Scottish), nor was I effected directly by what happened but I did feel your pain indirectly. I have compassion and empathy for all that was effect by the events of that day and yous will be in my prayers.

    Towers of Life

They stood hushed and glimmering in the night,
Giants able to frame the moon,
    Slumbering magnificently in their might.

Day breaks and the sun gently warms their skin,
Veins begin to pulse with life,
The sprit of a thousand of kin.

Evil tears towards them through the brilliant morning sky,
Propelled by the blackest of hate,
    Guided by a lie.

Barely risen they stand with no defense,
Innocent and distracted they are not prepared,
The pain about to be inflicted intense.

Like a bolt of lighting that shatters the morn,
Evil crashes once then twice into their sides,
Their bodies are scorched and torn.

Horribly crippled they continue to stand,
Holding onto life until the last,
Orders are given, they take the command.

The battle is brief, the giants begin to yield,
    Life drains from every artery,
    Their fate is sealed.

    Collapsing to zero,
First to one knee then to the next,
From their dust will emerge so many a hero.

    The question is asked,
    How can such evil exist.

I hear the voices calling out

When I lay me down at night,

Oh, why did they have to stay

This way in the dark and dank

    In fright?

    I awaken in the darkness

And I hear them moan with pain

I want to help, I want to help

But my wants are all in vain.

'Come and get me', they say

    'Take me to my home

I do not want to be here

    Forever in this tomb.'

What can I do to help you

    I ask with leaden heart,

    'Take us to our families

    That's where you can start.'

    It may take weeks,

    It may take months

    Before everyone is known,

And I hope that all or at

    Least some,

Can walk out on their own.

It is time for one great miracle

    From our maker up above,

I know he shines upon us now,

    I feel his wondrous love.

The souls of those who perished

Are safely in His hands as well,

    The terrible beasts who took

    Their lives,

Will burn, as they are all in hell.

    Oh lord, protect our country

And all who live here too,

And let the cries of pain subside,

Keep them safely there with you.
