Cats for sure! I had a bad experience with a dog when I was younger, so now I am scared to death of them. But, I volunteer at a no kill cat rescue and LOVE it!0

I am a self proclaimed crazy cat lady... I have two Jackson Pollock and Georgia O'Keef... also known as Beans and Sweet Georgia Brown. Let's put it this way... I can go away for the weekend and leave them with a huge bowl of food and water... You can't do that with a dog.0

I am a dog person but an animal lover for all. I love them all. Are these yours?0

I love cats!! Let's exchange recipes.0

Why do I have to choose one or the other?0

Life is about balance. An equal number of both0

Big dogs!
You have to clean up dog poop... You just have to do it outside so everyone can see you doing it... Plus if you have a big dog then you have giant poops.0 -
I like both but I am partial to dogs. I have one cat and two dogs( a llasa apso, and a boxer puppy) dogs are super fun, cats can be but my oh so wonderfull kitty likes to go out the doggie door and bring me presents. 2 months ago she brought me in a dead squirrel into my HOUSE! I was sooo pissed. But that's what cats do! So, it's really up to you. But you can do more with dogs.. take them places, go on walks with them.. Cats tend to wanna keep to themselves, untill THEY want attention.0

Both! My favorite pet of all time was a dog that passed in 2004 at 15 years old. She was so smart and loyal. I have had cats all my life, each had a different personality. The one I have now is very attentive to me, which is unusual in a cat, so she is my favorite cat so far (her name is Sybil). My current dog is a Maltese/Brussels Griffon mix, (7 yrs old) and she is very cute but she is a bit of a selfish brat - she thinks my bed pillow belongs to her, and she is sharing it with me! pics of both my pets are on my profile page.0

I love both but definitely love dogs more. Can't have cats right now anyways as one of my dogs doesn't like them.0

Let me tell you the little dogs do big poops too, I am in awe of my three little ones every day, lol!! :noway:0 -
If there is going to be an "or" I am going to lean towards dogs. We have 3 large dogs. 2 labs and a great pyrenees. Love dogs! They are smart, loyal, loveable, protectors, playful, etc. I've had cats before...they are less obedient, too canny and independent at times, but they still can be sweet, playful, cute, etc. This may seem backwards to some but with dogs I don't mind them being indoor pets, but with cats outdoor pets only.0

I have 1 of each. DOGS all the way.
I hate cats. Toni annoys the crap out of me and I don't bond with him much... my hub does. I just don't feel the connection with cats as I do with a dog.
Of course, I love MY cat and I'd be heartbroken if something happened to him but I'd never get another. Just not my thing.0 -
I love my dogs! Not so fond of cats, they're ok, but why do people let them loose? I had a nest of baby rabbits just outside my house, I kept the dogs away, but, of course when I was at work the neighbor's cat came and killed the baby rabbits. They were helpless, with eyes not even open yet. Yep, not so fond of cats right now... Here kitty, kitty...0

Oh my! They're so stinking cute! But cats win out for me, with dogs a close second. I'll always be a cat person, but I became allergic as an adult and can't/won't have them anymore. My husband is a true dog person (hates cats). So we have dogs now, and I love them. So yea, dogs are a close second to cats.0

Dogs... but they can't be smaller than a beagle otherwise I class them as large cats.
Can't be doing with lap dogs they piss me off.
And cats are just boring.0
