I didn't think running 3 miles in 6 weeks was possible. I did the program by the book on W6D2..did as suggested, and then decided to train again that same night..and wanted to do my own run. I put on my music, and jogged 3 miles in 36 minutes. I felt so proud. I don't know if any of you had that same victory before the 9th week, but I did.

That's AWESOME!!!
I have been wanting to try this program for a while now. Congrats!!:0 -
I am not as far as you are in the program. I am only on week 2 day 2 but It seems we are reaching the same feeling about running. Things are going very well even though I have only been doing it for a week. I actually get the "itch" to run now and I have always despised running or even jogging in the past! It's a good feeling and good motivation to know you are having great success with it further down the line!!
Are you seeing any major/minor results from the program yet? Any body changes? Just trying to see what other people are noticing with it.
Do you just do this program for exercise during the week? Or something else?0 -
wow!! that's incredible! it took me FOREVER to be able to run a mile straight and you ran 3 in 36?!!! keep up the great work!0

So, is this a running program you all are talking about? I used to be a runner WAY back in the day, and I'm trying to lose weight and get myself in condition for a 5k. I was wondering if following a program to improve my running would be a good idea.0

Great work!
I didn't do the program, my husband and I just started walking and we decided to add some jogging. We have a 2 mile jogging path in our neighborhood so that's nice. The first time it was hard and I walked at least half a mile. The next time I went out by myself and ran the first mile without getting tired but had to walk a couple times the second mile. I took a couple days off because I was sore and I started back up this week. Tuesday my husband and I ran the whole thing without walking! We finished the 2 miles in about 24 minutes. I went out Wednesday and yesterday by myself but due to soreness from Tuesday I walked a bit more than I would have liked (more yesterday than Wednesday) but I think I am getting to the point where I will be able to go the two miles without feeling out of breath (yesterday it was more of a soreness thing than an out of breath thing). I average about a 12 minute mile so I would like to work on speed and there is a side path that we skip that could gradually add more distance when I get there.
Good luck with continuing the program!0 -
