Last month Jonathan Shubert rode a bike 100 miles in 2:57. 🤯 On his 34th birthday. The previous record had stood for most of his life.
Anyway, I found that impressive. There are a lot of people doing incredible things throughout their lives.

Amazing average speed and the attention to detail regarding aerodynamics is fascinating.

That's some amazing pace. Every time I think humans have reached a peak in physical performance, one of these type people come along and up the bar again.
I can only imagine how much aero changes help at that speed. Not that I will ever find out for myself unless in downhill situations.1
