Hi everyone. I was reading Songbyrdsweet's post the other day encouraging everyone to share their workout and calories burned for the day. I LOVED that post! Everyone was so excited about it and proud of themselves. I haven't posted anything in a long time, but I'm still here. I'm still logging all of my food and exercise and still reading all the posts.

BRAGGING TIME!!!

Today I did a 1 hr KILLER spinning class followed by a 1 hr strength training session with my trainer. It was a total of 850 calories! I'm planning on taking my dog for a walk later, so that'll be another little boost.

Happy Friday!

  • Goodness! Great job!

It's amazing what you guys accomplish by the time I'm just rolling out of bed with the time difference from east coast to AK. I just love getting on here in the mornings and reading stuff like this to get motivated for my day.

    Again, great job!!!

75 minutes riding my bike in the hills - 650 calories burned!
    Happy weekend everyone:drinker:
  • That is awesome!! I have been trying to get up the nerve to go to my gym's spinning class. I have been training on my own and working out on the spinning bikes, but I am worried about being able to make it through the class! How long have you been working out with the spinning class?

Yesterday I had a great workout also! It wasn't 850 (GREAT JOB!!) but it was 630 calories!! I burned 450 calories on the bike and another 180 working out upper body in strength training!! I am going to try to step it up today!
  • Okay, How bout zero. We had a snowstorm hit and I wasn't able to go to the gym this morning. I was going to take a class called Boot Camp, which is taught by my personal trainer! It was at 6:am and I am so bummed that I was too wussycakes to drive. I'm going to take my doggies for a walk in the snow now, but won't burn nearly as many as I would had I gone to that class. It was going to be the first time too and I definitely going to hear about it from her too!

Need some motivation to not watch movies all afternoon now and to get my butt to the gym. Thanks everyone! Melissa
  • Okay, I finally woke up and did my elliptical for 30 minutes -- 256 calories. It's a light day for me as I've been working out hard all week.

    Happy Weekend, everyone!

Today, got to the gym at 7:10 (ugh!) and burned 510 cals doing 45 minutes on the elliptical. I have to get workouts done early on the weekends because of work and family gatherings.

It feels good to get it done with though first thing in the morning. Then you are not dreading it all day.

I scheduled an hour with my trainer today:

    1 hour of strength training
    15 minutes on the bike
    40 minutes on the elliptical

And for the first time, rather than being exhausted, I'm energized!
