Introducing

Hi - I am a new member. I am very frustrated as I have been unable to lose weight. I usually eat below or right at the recommended daily calorie count (tried another app), but do not lose weight. Yesterday ate below and actually gained a pound. I may have slowed metabolism down?At wit's end.

Stop weighing daily if you think that is meaningful information that has any possibility of being acted on.
    Doesn't happen that fast.

Be aware the recommended daily goal is based TOTALLY on your choices selected - and therefore you could easily have made poor unreasonable choices for weight loss.

How much to lose to healthy weight?

What is your daily life like - kids, pets, household you are busy night/weekends taking care of, what is daily time for work?

I’d suggest trying a food scale to make sure you’re eating the amount of calories you think you are. Treat it like an experiment, weigh and log everything for a month and see what that does.

Also, the scale is a liar. If you’re up a pound overnight, that’s water weight not fat. So many things cause water weight - menstruation and ovulation, sore muscles/new workout, travel, especially flying, sunburn/injury, etc, etc, etc. If you are eating in a deficit, you will lose fat. You can’t let the lying scale fool you.
