Loved my cats when I had them...but I wouldn't trade my dog now for the world. (Plus, DH is not allergic to the dog, which is a good thing.)

I'm not really much of a dog person. They require a lot of attention. It's the same reason I don't have kids. Too needy, lol There are a few breeds that I could see myself having maybe one day in the future. Maybe.

I definitely prefer cats. They're cuddly and can love you, but don't always have to be in your face. They'll come over, you can pet them, then they go away. It's a perfect relationship. Pretty low maintenance.

ok just kidding.. i like all my animals.. 2 cats and a dog. I am a dog lover by nature, but i happen to thoroughly love my cats (and typically only mine, although some of the shelter cats are amusing as well).

YOU HAVE NEVER HAD TO HOLD A PISSED OFF ONE HAVE YOU???

exactly.... i have to have my cats gassed for vaccinations as they turn into very wild animals during shots. We even tried a house vet. they've been banned from the groomers... seriously... she said we could bring the dog back but to please find someone else to groom the cats.

I have a dog and 4 cats...2 of the cats get pills daily. They are not bad, but I am very experienced is pilling cats. My dog, however, bit the vet while she was trimming her nails =\ How embarrassing....

you are a better woman then I lol... my cats seriously... one of them when he was small we did have to give him meds at 8 weeks old and you would think he would be more controllable from teh few weeks of that... he's not.. and its even worse if its not mom or dad trying to control them. we did try valiuam (diazapam - 5 mg) and all it did was make for some very angry kitties, one of them attacked the husband during that episode. I am certain not all kitties can be like that, but somehow we have managed to spoil ours to the point they are just a handful.

I have a cat that seems to think he's a dog...what does that mean?

    I kid.

We have 2 cats, and no dogs until we buy a house. that's our rule. But I love both. Especially my retarded cat that thinks he's a dog.

I've always been a dog lover! I don't currently have a dog, but plan to get one in a few years. I want to volunteer as a Pet Assisted Therapy team member at children's hospitals and assisted living facilities..... However, I think that cats are pretty important to someone that I care about very much, so I may end up with both :)

My parents dogs/daughters... LOL..... Amber and Gretchen

King Charles Cavalier Spaniel.... what I'd like to get in a few years :)

What I will probably end up doing is having both:

i love cocker spaniels and their attitudes.. i currently have a cocker spaniel - beagle mix and he is the most adorable thing in the world. he is such a people pleaser and a little rico suave.. he will have you eating out of his paw in no time. before him we had a different cocker mix and she was adorable as well and also a people pleaser and sooo lovable

Dogs for sure! :) I have 3, myself. They're all awesome in their own special way!

Although as a child one of my first pets was a cat...he was a manx (the kind with no tail) he lost an eye when he was 1, my dad wouldn't take our pets to the vet, so Mr. Kibby lived over 15 years with one eye. That cat was a badass!

He would kill rattlesnakes, crows, rabbits and would chew up a dog in a heart beat. He was a bit on the feral side (we lived waaaay out in the country). He was the one pet that my dad couldn't "put down" when he got really sick. Something about the empty blank socket staring back at him. Nice kitty, kitty. lolol
