I’m 48 and of course finding it very hard to lose weight!
I’m getting more and more committed, making changes every week or two, so just added calorie counting...2nd day and I’m fighting hunger more than I’d like, but doing well!
Good luck on your journey!

Welcome! I’ll be 46 in a couple months, so right behind you! Baby steps in changes is definitely a good plan.
How big is your calorie deficit? Fighting hunger isn’t necessarily good for long term success.4 -

You don't have to deprive yourself and be hungry to lose weight.
My calorie goal is 1700ish and I have lost 7.5kg since the beginning of October.

You want to pick a reasonable deficit that doesn’t leave you feeling hungry all the time. It’s one thing to be a little hungry for the first week or so, but if you don’t adapt to it, consider changing your deficit and allowing yourself to eat more calories. Also, are you using a food scale?0
