I've been back and forth with myfitnesspal for a while and my weight goes back and forth because of it. I've been a member for a while but have never posted on the message boards or snagged any friends except my sister (and I think she only became a member to humor me because she never logs on). I'm really anxious to shed the 20+ pounds I've added in the last year and I've been my only cheerleader on here. I think if I had some friends to motivate me and for me to motivate, I'd be more accountable. So.... any cheerleaders interested in reciprocating motivation? :happy:

  • I'm needing some cheerleading myself, and I'm not going to get my family involved... it stresses me out, and tends to lead to more weight gain! So I'm with you!

    I'll do my best to cheer-lead! ;) But I need cheer leading too. We can do this. My problem is food. I like to eat. I don't mind working out but I don't mind over-indulging either.

    Hey there ladies.... I'd love to join you too! I'm a stop/start dieter.. but have made some resolutions yesterday.. I turn 45 next May and have just organised a 'reunion' with several of my old school friends for my 45th birthday.. so thats a great motivating goal.. I need to update my profile, but would love to add you guys

    Hi I also have a problem with being on again off again with this. I need to lose about 52lbs and am tried of losing a few then losing focus and the next thing I know it is back again.

    Add me if you want and we can cheer for each other, and maybe even a 'butt kick' when needed.

    Hey everyone! Think I've sent you all friend invites now! lol... would be great to have some support on this journey. I'm determined this time that nothing is going to stop me (but thats today!) We've had a fairly stressful year in Christchurch NZ with earthquakes which has been the most frightening experience, but its also been an excuse to comfort eat (too much wine too!) So would love the support in helping me get my life back!:smile:
  • I agree...I would LOVE some cheerleading and I believe I can be a great cheerleader to anyone who is truly looking for one. However, there needs to be a 'give and take' about sending the encouraging messages and replies. I have been on for about a month (logging in every day) now and really have only found 1 friend to encourage me and respond to my post or the replies I have posted. I have/had other friends but even though I reply often, I never get any messages back. So, please add me as a friend if you think we could cheer for each other because no one wants to be an island. :)

    as part of a better living app , it was suggested that I find a gym buddy to keep me motivated.
    I work nights so not that willing to align their hours to meet this goal.
