Last weigh-in Wednesday of the year!
Age: 32 Height: 5'5"
Highest weight: 320 lbs (end of pregnancy weight, June 2020)
12/30: 293.8
12/23: 289.4
12/16: 290.2
12/9: 292
12/2: 289.4
1st GW: 220 lbs, so I can change blood thinning meds (had deep vein thrombosis in October).
2nd GW: 180 lbs (weight I was at in high school).
3rd GW: 160 lbs.
Yes, that's a 4lb gain. Net gain of 1.8lbs for the month. But I'm ok with that considering the amount of sugar I ingested in the past few days. Having my birthday so close to Christmas usually tends to equate a weight gain.
In a non-scale victory, yesterday marked my 1-month smoke-cessation monthiversary!
Happy New Year, all!7 -
This is a hard day for me. I'm in a lot of pain due to the weather and I am retaining water, and I have turned my calories back down to start losing weight again.
It's Wednesday so it's time to compile the shopping list from the menu, check it against the pantry and freezer and make a final list for Thursday's shopping.
Do people want me to continue posting menus? I do it because I want other people to know you can still have really good food and be a gourmand even when counting calories. And of course I will share recipes for anything. If it causes people problems, though, I won't. I wouldn't want to make anyone upset.3 -
Hello again, especially to some familiar friends. I quit posting and tracking for awhile. Covid stress, marriage stress, knee pain, lost one of our kitties- but I can't keep using these excuses can I? I don't want to give up though and reading all your posts is encouraging, so thank you!!
Here are my stats:
* Age- 69
* Previous weight- 295 (Yikes)
* Current weight 263
* 1st goal weight- 260
* April 2021 goal weight- (birthday month) - 245?
I will at least:
* Log my food
* Plan my meals
* Plan at least 'some form of exercise
* Keep logging into this group!!
Anyway, you all are wonderful and courageous! Since I love quotes, a favorite is, "when you feel like quitting, remember why you started".

Weigh in Wednesday
Highest weight: 435 (11/1/18)--lost 50 lbs. by the end of 2018 but got off track and gained back almost 31 lbs.
SW: 415.8 (4/17/19)
11/30: 184.4
12/2: 183.4
12/9: 180.8
12/16: 178.8
12/23: 176.4
12/30: 175.8
12/31:
Dec. GW: anywhere under 185 would be a win
GW: 160 (then reevaluate)
Weekly exercise goals:
- exercise bike 5 times per week - 0/5
- strength training 2 times per week - 1/2
- chair yoga 4 times per week - 2/4
- steps onto aerobic step platform twice a day at least 3 times per week - 2/3
I'm still not feeling well so I didn't get much exercise in again this week. I'm so congested I didn't even try to do the exercise bike although I did do a couple short walking videos when I felt up to it so I guess that's at least something. With all the stress of my dad testing positive for Covid-19 just after Thanksgiving and then the holidays, I didn't plan to lose much in December. Maybe having to quarantine a couple of times helps weight loss?
My latest Covid-19 test was negative so I guess I have a cold or some other bug. It sure is hanging around for a long time. I'm ready for it to be gone! My parents are gradually improving. Getting antibiotics for my dad's pneumonia has made a huge difference. My mom doesn't sound so weak and exhausted when I talk to her on the phone. Hopefully they both keep improving. My dad is getting some home health care. The nurse is supposed to stop by again today but we had a bunch of snow last night. My mom doesn't know if the nurse can even make it through their driveway!
Happy New Year to you all!7 -
@KeriA Love the idea of bringing bands to your office! I hope the new job is not too stressful - sounds like you're figuring out how to work with the new schedule and all that it brings. Happy New Year!4

Hi I'm late to this group but better late than never! I weighed Monday myself for the first time in 2 years and was shocked to find my weight at 217. Seems that I'm really good at losing and gaining weight but terrible at maintaining. I have noticed some of you focusing on smaller goals instead of the end result, and I want to try to do that, too. I also want to focus on the process of eating healthier. Because when I think only about my goal weight, I obsess and feel like a failure.
I know that having the support of friends really helps me so I would love more friends!
As a side note, I think this is a perfect time to start a weight loss journey because there's plenty of time before the world goes back to normal and we have to wear real clothes again!5 -
