how many calories are in this

I am having a brain fart...I made a bread crumb mixture that is 1 3/4 cup and has 650 cals in the whole thing...I used about half a cup of it for breading...how many cals is in the half of breading?

    I'd enter is at .33 of the whole thing. .25 if it was 2 full cups.
  • a half cup would be about 185 calories.

  • Don't take my word for it, but what I figure is that:

    1/2 cup = close to 1/3 of the total amount you made

    650cals x 1/3 = 216 cals
    or around there...

    I've had a long day at work, so my math is probably way off and I might be leading you in the wrong direction. I actually got 185 at one point too so maybe you should just stick with Cindy.

    I always have to use my calculator for these types of things. I turn everything from a fraction to a decimal then divide. Sooo....

    .5 divided by 1.75 = .29 of the whole recipe. That's 188.5 calories. MFP will probably round that up to .3 for you.
